No generation in history has spent this many hours on screens. No one knows the long-term effects. The data does not exist yet because the experiment is still running. You are part of it. So is everyone you know. The results will come from observing what happens to your generation over decades.

  • Current guidelines suggest no more than 2 hours of recreational screen time per day for children. Most exceed this.
  • Track your screen time for one week using your phone's built-in tracker. The number is usually a surprise.
