Career Diversity — Most jobs are invisible from school

Career Diversity
Most jobs are invisible from school
The range of work that exists, most of which nobody mentions.
Back
Ask a class of thirteen-year-olds to name jobs and you will get about twenty answers. India's official list of occupations runs to several thousand entries. Doctor, engineer and lawyer are visible because you meet them. Actuary, logistics planner, sound engineer and soil scientist are not. You choose from the list you have seen.
- Go looking on purpose. Ask three working adults what they actually do all day, and you will learn more about work than a careers day will teach you.
- Nobody wants a job they have never heard of. Widening the list early costs nothing and rules nothing out.

The changing map of jobs, and the skills that outlast the changes.
Healthy Boundaries
The line that protects both sides
A limit a person sets on what others may ask of them.
Technology Ethics
Should we, because we can?
Asking whether something should be built, not only whether it can be.
