If your clothes catch fire: stop (running fans the flames), drop to the ground (removes the upward air flow), roll (smothers the fire). Every step has a reason based on how fire behaves. It needs oxygen. Your job is to cut the supply.

  • When entering any building, note where the exits are. In smoke, crawl. Hot air and smoke rise. Clean air stays low.
  • Fire extinguishers follow the PASS method: Pull the pin, Aim at the base, Squeeze, Sweep side to side.
